Each year the Regional Hispanic Contractors Association celebrates the achievements of all women in the architecture, engineering and construction (A/E/C) industries by granting three firms with a coveted Luna Award. The Luna Award of Excellence is granted to an established A/E/C firm that exemplifies performance in the industry. We are happy to announce that our nominee, Donna Carter, president of Carter Design Associates (CDA), became a recipient of the 2020 Luna Award of Excellence. CDA is an architectural, planning and restoration firm located in Austin, Texas, that focuses on projects combining revitalization, historic preservation and new construction within a complete community context. Donna has served on numerous board positions for non-profit health care and social service advocacy, including the board of the Seton Family of Hospitals and Huston-Tillotson University. The team at CDA are also active in community affairs, donating labor and technical support to many social service and non-profit organizations. We are excited for the upcoming 2021 Luna Awards that will occur in Austin, Texas, on October 28, 2021. As co-sponsor of the Luna Awards for the past three years, we hope to continue to recognize these very talented women-owned firms that help build The University of Texas at Austin as well as the state of Texas.
